Yes, I think you're right....now that I think about it. That's why the mom always warned Eliza of the bad man.
Not only that but the guy that was her friend in town said he saw something the night he decided to walk up the cliff to see her he saw something going on that never should be, so I gathered he saw them in the light of the window.
Machele I got the same impression, and then she didn't want her coming after her daughter as well.
I thought the guy who took a walk up the cliff saw Eliza with Rose's husband....
May have to go back and reread that part, they where some messed up people.
He was creepy and he lusted after both Georgianna and Eliza but I don't think he ever acted on it.
