Oh thank you! I am 200 pages into this and it is a total bore teaching me nothing. The writing is as pedestrian as can be.
I think it was brilliant! but I recommend you watch the bbc 2015 miniseries first because it adds to the vibe. I think it is very subtle and more of a work of literature than history.
