Does anyone ever call Odalie by name? I'm halfway through the book and so far the evidence is that Odalie exists only as a personality of Rose's. I don't know what goes on at the end, but I suspect no one ever sees Odalie without Rose.
I finished the book. The Lieutenant Detective is one of Rose's personalities too.
I think the epilogue was all imagined by Rose.
Do you think the Lieutenant Detective could've called her "Rose" to try to relate to the kinder half of her personality? In other words - he knows that she is unstable, and her Rose personality is the one most likely to be sane and reasonable? (I have no idea... I'm torn on how I think the story ends).
