Robert Smith Behind the Scenes at the Museum will be the one closest to Life After Life. Her Jackson Brodie novels, while well worth reading, don't came anywhere near the complexity or ambition of this one.

Patrick Lueck Oh...I don't think you should use the word "ambition..." Kate has established a whole new genre of "detective" fiction with Jackson Brodie. She just chose to hold down the complexity...

Barbara I thought she did learn things. She avoided her brother's friend in later tellings and also seemed to know not to let the little girl be alone.
