Pam Patton Absolutely! I read this less as a time travel or parallel university story. I pictured a writer at a typewriter trying one path, then another, tossing scrunched up pages into the wastebasket, then gathering them up and arranging into a multi-line complex novel. I don't think you can worry too much about the logistics of it.
