Hmm.. when you put it that way it makes sense. And his personality is posessive, so his attitude towards Christian and Dancer really could mean nothing.
Still, being part of this series I still think sex is a main point here. She's 14, okay, no one's going to touch her yet. But one day that will happen. And Ryodan, calculating businessman as he is, could use that to try to make his ties to her stronger, so as to not depend on Dani's loyalty to dumb little Jo (btw, if she died on the next book, it would make my day. She disgusts me).
Having Dani as a kinda-partner would ensure her loyalty to him and at the same time make it very difficult for her to leave him in case something nasty 'has to be done' which, Ryo being Ryo, will probably happen sooner or later. Remember Dani is emotionally dependant of the people she loves (exhibit A, Mac), and at the same time, has a hard time accepting cruelty or injustice (one reason she hates the unseelie) and not do anything about it. Ryo, on the other hand, doesn't give a rat's ass for morals, so that can get really tricky if he can't find a way to tie her to him effectively.
