Chris Smith Hi, Paul. Thanks for the feedback on my book. I'll definitely work harder to make the books more factually accurate going forward. I'd love to have a chat and pick your brain a bit to help improve my writing.

Apart from the factual mistakes, what did you think of the story itself? Did you enjoy the characters and the plot?

James Booth Good to see an author interacting with the readers and asking for feedback.

Still Impressive response by an author to a disappointed reader. Class act!

Chris Smith Hi, Still. Thanks very much. I'm never going to know absolutely everything about the West and I'd love to hear what my readers think and learn from them. That way I can keep improving and hopefully write stories that people enjoy reading.

James Booth Did Paul ever get hold of you to discuss your book, Chris? Hope he took you up on the offer. No point complaining if you aren't willing to help. And the inconsistencies didn't detract from the plot. It was a lot of fun to read.

Chris Smith Hi, James. No he didn't, but that's okay. It's easy to miss comments on here and I don't think you get notified about them. His points were valid, although I'd have loved his opinion on the actual plot of the story, so I'm making sure that I do more research going forward. It's good to keep learning and improving.
