We want to know how you're reading The Twelve Tribes of Hattie. What's your preference?

Hardcover. I just can't seem to get interested enough when I'm reading on a tablet or e-reader.
E-reader but really I adore listening to audible books.

I'm getting a hardcover from my library. Although I prefer ereaders simply becasue they're lighter and fit in my purse.
I don't have preference. I listen to audio books in the car and a night to go sleep. I read paper or hard back book in bath tub. I use e reader app on my phone to read when and where ever. I am enjoy Oprah comments on the e reader version of The Twelve Tribes of Hattie!

I typically read via iPad or Kindle, but lately, I'm partial to audible. Bahni Turpin, who is AMAZING (she also narrated The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks & The Kitchen House), narrates parts of Hattie. I'm loving it so far.
I have an iPad and a Nook. However, I'm reading "The Twelve Tribes of Hattie" in physical form! I love the feel of a book in my hand. This allows me to focus solely on the book and become absorbed into what I'm reading. I don't have to worry about any emails or notifications interrupting my reading!
Also, walking into a bookstore to pick up a book brings back nostalgic memories of Scholastic book fairs that my public elementary and middle school had. I still feel the excitement run throughout every neuron in my body as I select and read a book. I hope that kids today appreciate books as much as I do.

On laptop while I use desk top for catching up on the day. 2 - 3 hours every day.
E reader! I'm reading 12 Tribes of Hattie on my Nook. I really love the fact that as I read Oprah's favorite parts are highlighted and I can just click and read her comments!
I used to be a die hard hardcover reader. My eyes started getting a lot of strain so I switched to audible books. Now that I have a kindle, I am able to adjust the font to best suit my eyes and with the whispersync I can switch effortlessly between the audible.com version while I'm walking the dog or running errands and the kindle when I get home. The kindle may not be a hardcover book, but I so enjoy being able to hold a book (Kindle) in my hand to read. Not to mention that between all the free kindle books and $3.99 and under, I have 195 books on my kindle to choose from. I camp a lot, could you see me hauling all those books? Their all on my Kindle in one compact package, which I love.

Sounds like you are good at multi-tasking, Shirley. It's wonderful that you can spend that time to focus on what you're interested in.

Definitely e-reader but if that's not an option than I like hardback or the larger paperbacks...not the pocket paperbacks or whatever they're called.
Preference is my iPad or iPhone. But it depends on which version is available from my local library.
I have the book on my ereader. That means I can take it with me wherever I go on most of my digital devices: Kindle Fire, phone, laptop, etc. I can also read Oprah's notes easily.

So much! I didn't think I would like it because I thought I would miss just having a book in my hand, but that is not the case. I love that I can have hundreds of books in the palm of my hand. I like being able to tap the word to learn exactly what it means. I like being able to bookmark multiple places in the book that hit a note for me. I love that I can do a search to find a word or a phrase. I love that I can download a great book in just seconds instead of making time to go get it somewhere. I love that my reader glows so I can read in a dimly lit room.
I could go on and on. :)
I have a nook but usually I just go by what is the better price. This time The Twelve Tribes of Hattie was 40% off at B&N and then I had an extra 25% off coupon. It came to around $12 which is the same as the ebook but I figured this way I could pass the book along to friends/family when I'm finished.
Both my e-reader and hardcover. I read the hard cover during the day. I read my e-reader at night or when I go somewhere. However, in general, I use my kindle more than I buy physical books now.
I love my ereader, great when traveling or when you don't want the world to know what you are reading. Or for reading late into the night when you can't have the light on because it disturbs the husband in the bed next to you....But there is still something I love about going to a book store and finding a new book, or searching through the dusty shelves at the local 2nd hand book shop.
I still buy books from my fav authors.... Mainly because I have the others and I don't want a gap or incomplete set on the shelf (just a little OCD)

Both Kobo and Hardcover. The books that both myself and my daughter read we buy the book. But the books that I just read I usually read it on my e-reader.
I prefer to read hardcover (the smell of books is amazing!) but often read off my e-reader for connivence

I read most of my books on my e-reader. It's easier to keep track of what books I read and I don't have to go out to the library or book store and buy the book.I still read the occasional hard cover, though.

Hardcover. The feel of the book and smell of the pages and cover project me into another realm. I prefer reading to eating; when I stopped reading I started unrealistic eating. Technology is nice & provides another way of doing things. However, what happens when we don't have electronics, do we not read anymore?? I want to write my thoughts & notes on the pages and leave history for my children and grandchildren. I love history & hardcover is the way for me. One day i will no longer walk this earth, but pieces of me will remain in my hardcovers & journals; pieces for the loves of my life. Thank you for asking.
