Angela Randall Hi! This is actually an error caused by the silly positioning of two similar buttons.

When you edit your author profile, the 'Save' button is not far under the Twitter profile.

Unfortunately, right at the bottom of the page is also a section for Librarian comments, which has a 'Post' button. If you accidentally hit that button it will give you the "Comment is too short (minimum of 1 character)" error because it expects you to have written a Librarian comment.

Sorry, I took a screenshot but Goodreads won't let me post a link.

Hope the information helps anyway!

PS. I'm a big fan. Thanks for all of your amazing writing. :)

Have now distinguished between between the "save" and the "post" buttons, so far so good. But when I click the (correct) "save" button, absolutely nothing happens. ???

(The "cancel changes" button next to it is also unresponsive.)

Later: well, I seem to have succeeded in updating, not sure how.

Possibly the "save" button just has no completion feedback signal? Tis a mystery.

As a Goodreads Librarian, when I edit a book page and click "save," the page flashes and leaves me at the edit page. It's only after I click to the book page that I see the successful edit… and sometimes only after 10 minutes.

It's been that way for a while…years? It used to switch over to the book page after saving, but it doesn't anymore. Annoying.

…So it's systemwide? ::shrug::

I don't even get a page flash, or any other visual or audio feedback at all. Or any results.

Sigh.

I have an inquiry into the official Help, but their last round was pretty useless, so, not much hope.
