ashley hi friends!

joely, adélie, and i would love your suggestions for future book club books! we try to keep up with new/popular/diverse releases to add to our monthly polls, but we know there are things we've missed; that's where you come in! please leave your suggestions in the thread below so that we can add them to future polls!

books that are mentioned repeatedly will be most likely to make it onto next month's poll as that will indicate to us that the title is high interest for our group! also, please do take a minute to scroll through our group's bookshelf to see the titles we have already read as we don't plan to do any rereads: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

we look forward to hearing from you! :)

Andrea Have you read the Shadow in the Amber? I don't see it much on Goodreads, unless I don't know where to look. JLA seems very popular for the Kingdom of Blood and Ash series, and I figured this other series might be in a Book Club?? I plan to read it next!

we haven't! we've only done the blood & ash series books and then the visions of flesh & blood standalone that's set in the same universe! we can definitely add the prequel series to next month's poll! :)

Digitz I haven’t read this one yet, but I just got my copy this week. It’s a book called The Light That Blinds us by Andy Darcy Theo. It’s the first book in a new duology. The book blurb describes it as “A high-stakes, speculative romance, which masterfully weaves themes of mental health, psychosis, and found family”.

message 8: by Shaya (new)

Shaya Sfalsin Have you read the Powerless series by Lauren Robert’s? I’ve just finished and I really enjoyed it! I’ve also heard a lot about Spark of the Everflame and I plan to read it next!

Or Mamana Queen of Roses by Briar Boleyn

Lady Sarah P 🦋 I’ve just started Quicksilver by Callie Hart, and it’s set to be a very good read ! I am already very invested and I’m only on page 60. The FMC is strong with a whole lot of grit. Going on the other reviews I don’t think this will disappoint. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Samantha Have you read A Spark of the Everflame by Penn Cole - it’s giving acotar vibes, 3 books so far and another coming this month!

message 29: by Marisette (new)

Marisette Burgess Hi,
If you haven't read House of Beating Wings by Olivia Wildenstein, it's a fun read and the other two books in the series are fantastic. It's part of the Kingdom of Crows series and I loved them.
House of Beating Wings (The Kingdom of Crows, #1) by Olivia Wildenstein

I'm not sure if this group does vamps, but I have a dark paranormal romance out and would be honored if you considered it. I'm always appreciative for reviews and feedback. It's Salvation by Blood.
Salvation By Blood Part 1 & 2 by Marisette Burgess

message 30: by Hunter (new)

Hunter H. Treasures of the Lochs
Please consider Treasures of the Lochs. This is a suspenseful YA Christian fiction/fantasy, involving a modern-day treasure hunt in Scotland, with a bit of supernatural thrown in. Blending historical fact and Scottish legend within an action-packed adventure, Treasures of the Lochs is an exciting, powerful story of faith, friendship, and redemption. The target audience is teenage and above (some parts would be too intense for younger readers).

This book is a 2024 NIEA Finalist in Religion Fiction. The novel crosses a few different genres, including Christian Fantasy, Magical Realism, and Suspense. It also hit Amazon#1 New Release for Christian Fantasy. I hope you’ll check it out.

Phoebe R. The Will of the Many by James Islington. I think it will be great for the summer. It’s not small but the story seems very interesting.

message 35: by Clara Bo (new)

Clara Bo Dunleavy Daughter Of the Moon Goddess, by Sue Lynn Tan.
Absolutely perfect for summer as it has sweet whimsical descriptions of spring forests and blooming troves 🌷 it follows her journey with many attractive warrior men who i cannot stop thinking about. dragons, betrothed lovers, enchanted weapons, and a fearsome daughter of the moon are all included in this scrumptious book.
i loved a court of silver flames and thus reminds me so much of it! it’s full with powerful women and hot men. can’t get much better ⭐️

this book is up there with acotar, pls read it even if you don’t choose it for book club lol. it’s so fast pasted and PERFECT for a book slump, i cannot recommend thus book enough‼️‼️‼️‼️
