Thank you for your lovely words!
Discovering the Clearwater universe has been such a gift. I couldn’t possibly articulate how special it has been to lose myself in this world. I’ve been voraciously reading through the series, starting with Clearwater. The characters have stayed with me and I find myself thinking about their complex relationships and personal development and growth (I’m slightly devasted by Tom agreeing with Silas’ assessment that the four are with the wrong partners - Jimmy is my favorite character and my heart breaks for him a little, even though Tom pledges his undying love).
My husband has been in the hospital recently with a complicated surgery and while spending countless hours in the waiting room, I’ve been able to completely lose myself in these delightful books.
It is truly special when you find an author and a series that particularly speaks to you. I have a great deal of gratitude for this wonderful gift and am reminded of why reading can be so meaningful, delightful and ridiculously fun.
I am so glad they have been of some help and that you are enjoying them. Receiving messages like this makes the hours of typing more than worthwhile. (Actually, I can’t imagine not writing every day.) It’s lucky that James (Jimmy) Wright stays with the three series, though is often absent in the Delamare stories so as to give Jack and Will more stage time.
I hope your husband is recovering/doing well.
All the best.
J
