I think they probably omitted Gods, Demi-Gods, and Heroes (which I would definitely like to have seen included) not so much because of the culturally insensitive appropriation, but because (as they note) of the intellectual properties of Robert E. Howard and Michael Moorcock, and the rights to those are not available.
