Sammie Not sure who to ask. Today I received a threatening mail. The Sender:
anonymous@sendity.org

Subject:
Anonymous - WARNING:STOP YOUR PROMOTIONS ON GOODREADS AND SOCIAL MEDIA IMMEDIATELY!

ACCESS TO YOUR BOOK PREVENTING HER SHUTDOWN. WE GIVE 24 HOURS TO VANISH. IF YOU DON'T STOP, WE WILL RE-PUBLISH IT USING AI TECHNOLOGY. INSTEAD OF YOUR NAME, YOUR BOOK WILL BE 'AUTHORED' BY ONE OF US. AN EXACT REPLICA OF YOUR BOOK WILL BE SELLING ON AMAZON UNDER OUR NAMES AND YOU WON'T LIKE IT! AMAZON CANNOT DETECT THIS TECHNOLOGY YET AND YOUR LAWS CAN'T HARM US!

Not sure what to do. Thank you for your advice.

Hi Sammie

Sorry to hear you are going through this & hope you have realised that you need to contact Support (Staff) rather than volunteer librarians who do the book cataloging.

If not here is the address to contact them.

Sammie Sammie Marsalli

Thank you for your concern and help. I didn´t know where to go with this.

gem I would also contact Amazon support and let them know you received this email. Never hurts to have a record in case this Anon person actually tries to pirate your book.

I did that as my first step and they have responded with their investigation. Taking your advice now I just finished filling out the form on Goodreads support. I increased security on my Amazon account. Apparently Goodreads doesn´t offer that. Grateful for your advice.

I did tighten up Profile Settings on Goodreads

Martin Hill I received the exact same email threat this morning. I copied the email address and reported the user to their email provider.
