I completely agree. I wished for better from this book but unfortunately never saw it.

In other words, this isn't about science or history or anything but one author's "beef" about race and body size.
Great review. Its unfortunate that the author was so committed to coupling racism with fatphopia that she refused to acknowledge that other aspects.
Completely agreed. I just finished the book and feel like there needs to be a part 2. I was really looking forward to this book and it’s been on my reading list for a few years now: the author doesn’t fully make the connections claimed by the title and in the prologue and I end wanting and needing more.
