Great review, Meags, for a story that didn't have many positive highlights, you gave your reasons why very well. Really hope you're enjoying your next read much more. 🤗

Cheers, Amina. My next two reads have been much more to my liking, thank you very much! 😂

Thank you. And thank you for all the hand holding through this trying process. 😂

Ah, I’m sorry to hear your experience hasn’t been a good one, Samantha. Especially if you found what I said relatable. LOL. In the months since I read this, I’ve honestly considered restructuring my review and rating even lower, as it’s truly been my least favourite read of the year, upon reflection. After I finished, I went and read the other Bindery books (in the October launch) and I can safely say they were ALL a much better fit for me, in terms of storytelling, characters and overall writing quality.
Your review echoes my thoughts entirely! I loved the concept of this book, but sadly felt disconnected from the story and it's characters

Although I’m glad to not be alone in my sentiments, I’m sorry it wasn’t a bigger win for you too, Jessica.
I think this is going to be a DNF for me because I've had all these thoughts and the thoughts stated by other 2ish star reviews and hoped it would get better. Since I'm going to DNF I probably won't leave a review but it's good to know I wasn't alone in my thoughts and feelings!

I'm sorry to hear that, Allison, but at the same time, I'm not at all surprised. This was a tough read on a lot of levels. I read it as an ARC so I felt compelled to finish, even though it would have otherwise been something I would have DNF'd very early on.
