Corine, thank you for your honest feedback. As far as Echo... yeah, I missed that, didn't I? I kinda/sorta glossed over it in the chapter where the chief visits Vince unexpectedly. If I promise to do better in a sequel could you forgive me then? ;) Seriously, my wife and I are animal lovers, and we fostered dogs for a local rescue for a number of years...
