Thanks for the feedback Jordan. I noticed in your comment, you didn't finish it. Not finishing makes a lot of sense of your review. I can see that you didn't get to experience the full character arc if you stopped short, but I appreciate you giving it a shot.
Is this about the good Christianity or the other?
I agree that the first 30% was a bit slow but it ended up being a great book. I recommend you finish it. It is not too long to do so.
Totally agree as well! But as it fleshes out the story more, it shows, he has no clue what he's doing, and by the end he's a lot more capable, shrewd and wiser. I'd recommend you finish it as well! The ending is powerful, and the note at the end explains a bit of why Kitchen went that route in the story.
