Hilde Weisert Exactly my feeling

message 2: by Wookiee (new)

Wookiee Choppy is a great description. Certainly did not flow.

message 3: by R (new)

R V Yeah. I'm about to reread some of my favorites again.

message 4: by Ken (new)

Ken Schoenberg Agreed. It was disjointed at best. I've read every one of the series and this was hard to get through. I wonder if AI wrote this.

message 5: by Ben (new)

Ben in case you weren't aware. The last couple of books are indeed being written or "co"-written by another author. How much he writes or why is completely unclear. But it shows in the quality. This new author doesn't seem to understand the character at all.

message 6: by B (new)

B Ken - not AI. Worse. His brother Andrew wrote it. Nepotism at its finest!

message 7: by Yarema (new)

Yarema I used to finish new Reacher novels within 2 days after publication. Now it took more than 2 months. :/ I’ll probably skip the next one.

message 8: by James (new)

James Hiscock So true, I finished it purely out of love of the Reacher series, but it was a hard read. Sad to see this series drop off, but time to find something else! Damn shame.

message 9: by Mark (new)

Mark Marinovich Completely agree. Lackluster.

message 10: by Hoyt (new)

Hoyt Nelson > this one was clearly NOT written by the same author.

Thanks for this observation. I was confused about why this book was so bad, so different from the rest in the series. Simple explanation: It's not a Lee Child book.
