I personally did not enjoy "The Cruel Prince" or its writing style, but I did enjoy the setting and the fae creatures, so I decided to write a story more to my taste. Your dislike for Risque Fae makes total sense, though. If you loved "The Cruel Prince," then my changes were probably the opposite of what you want in a plot or in writing style.

Thank you for taking my review so well, @Monique. It's on the harsher side, I admit. I think you had a good idea there and it probably comes down to the way you told this story rather than the story itself for me, which is just in general not my favorite way as I like my reads with a faster pace. But that's just taste and I'm happy for you that at least every one of my friends here who tried this loved it. ❤️

I haven't read The Cruel Prince so that comparison didn't have any meaning for me, and loved the series without having had any expectations.
