Thank you so much for your thoughtful and insightful review of "The Arrows of Fealty." I've been steeped in research for the period 1346 to 1381 for a number of years, its wars, its waves of plague and its revolts - rich material for "The Arrows of Mercy," too, which tells Edmund's story. I was lucky for the sequel that there is a horse archery school in Nova Scotia, where I live, as well as an active traditional archery club - research can be such fun! And I love that you thought "no one was the shining hero or moral exemplar," because I aim for complexity. I'm not quite sure how to "befriend" you on Goodreads, but I'll try. Best of wishes, Jill
