Hello Cousin! When I was selecting a name for my heroine, I chose "Virginia." "Ginny" is a nickname. Since then, I have discovered that Lady Forbes (Lord Forbes' wife) is name "Jinny." We're in good company. :>
We got to meet Jinny and Malcolm when we spent a night in Castle Forbes a few years ago. Interesting folks and great to see the sights in Forbes Country! By the way, my sister Nancy who also enjoyed the book told me that growing up my mother preferred being called "Ginny", something I never knew.
