Thank you Peter. Loss is a part of life, of course, but knowing that is so is not a lot of comfort, is it. One must try to get used to living with the hole in one's life (rather than seeking to fill it). I am--will always be--grateful for his devotion over the past forty-some years.
Wishing you comfort in your loss too.
Gaye

Peter Thank you, Gaye.
I agree, that is all we can or should be expected to do.
Kindest regards,
Peter

Bob Newman Hello Gaye,
Just opened your site for the first time in quite a while. I'm sorry to hear of your husband's death. Of course I didn't know him, but I have lost so many people in recent years, and I know how it feels. Life may be "maya" as they say in India, but it's hard to go through it anyhow.
I remember the clouds in Mongolia. They were shaped like no others I've ever seen and they continuously floated over the vast steppes where almost nothing else moved----and then they disappeared.

Thank you very much for your kind message Bob. My apologies for not seeing it sooner: the aftermath has been busy, in part because I'd already decided to retire, so there is that sorting out to be done too.
How wonderful to have visited Mongolia! In most places I've lived--Sydney, Tokyo--one is used to clouds that come from the ocean or move over the city then out to sea, but clouds floating over the steppes, no sea for miles and miles--that must be extraordinary!
