I was raised in the foothills of the Adirondacks and I am now living in the region again. I feel the same as you. At first I was excited about a book set here but felt the characterizations very one dimensional.
I’m with you on the people, but - if you think this is a standard thriller, you couldn’t be more wrong. It’s slow, boring, and the whole story was a pointless letdown. Nothing about this book passed for good.
