Today's hot new event for us is the release of our first Indie audiobook, excerpted from our Indie book, "The Fish the Fighters and the Song-girl: http://www.audible.com/pd/ref=sr_1_1?...
I'm Janet (E.) Morris, author of the Silistra, Dream Dancers, and Sacred Band of Stepsons series, as well as about 30 more titles. The book referred to above with many typos is "The Fish the Fighters and the Song-girl," coauthored with Chris Morris, and containing new stories and classic tales of our Sacred Band in Thieves World(R) and beyond. Whether ancient or modern, we write heroic fiction, often violent, gritty; always passionate and meant to challenge conventions.
Hello, I'm a fellow Indie Author here! I write mostly Paranormal Romance and I have a total of 3 published works but one is under a vanity press(I know I was green as a gourd) but I have a story featured in a collection as well as my first E-book published through XoXo Publishing. Lost To The Night was a collaboration with Denyse Bridger, Brigit Aine, Kayden Mcleod, and Sara Evans. Cursed Awakening was released last spring and I hope you all will love reading it. I have been writing since well I learned how to write but ask anyone in my family and they will tell you that I have always loved telling stories. Not sure if that's a compliment or not but it took me till I was 35 before I finally threw my inhibitions to the side and took a chance. Hate that it had to be with a vanity press but it led me on a road of enlightenment and discovery of WHAT NOT TO DO. Plus I have met some really great authors. So in some aspects it has been a win win.
My name is Edison McDaniels. I am a writer, novelist, and physician who lives in Wisconsin. I have a number of short stories on the web and in print. My latest is a novel, NOT ONE AMONG THEM WHOLE, available on eBook. Historical fiction. An intense tale set amid the surgeons and battlefield hospitals at the Battle of Gettysburg. David Poyer, the NY Times best selling novelist, called it 'an amazing accomplishment...'Anyway, hello to all.
Hey, folks! My name is Chicki Brown. I write contemporary romance, interracial romance, women's fiction and inspirational romance. In 2010 I published my first novel on Kindle and Nook and have since published six others. I am a New Jersey native, but I've lived in metro Atlanta, Georgia since 1994.
I am so proud to be here! Thanks for welcoming me to the group. My name is Joe Rinaldo, and I currently have three novels published and available on Amazon: A SPY AT HOME, HAZARDOUS CHOICES, and my latest and most controversial novel, A MORMON MASSACRE. I hope to share with and learn from all of you, and I also want to take a sec to wish all of you a Happy New Year!A Mormon Massacre

Hi, everyone! Nice to see some familiar "faces" here, too! (Hi, Janet!) I currently have a series of comedy-mysteries going on, with nine published to date. In the last month, however, I published a serious novel entitled "Why She Left Us" (under the pseudonym of David Dennis), which should appeal more to the ladies while the comedy-mysteries (the "Brett books") seem to go over especially well with the male readers who are out there.
Hi all, saw an invite on FB so popped over here and joined the group. I have 3 published novels, Inspy Historical Fiction...they're all Westerns with romance. The 3rd, CELTIC KNOT, is on sale for 99¢ until tomorrow on Smashwords! All 3 are also available on Amazon. Now I'm working on contemporary romantic suspense. Looking forward to getting to know more Indie authors :-)
Hi, my name is Amy and, like others, I saw the post on Facebook, so, here I am. I write all sorts of things, but mostly with Alaskan settings that take advantage of the place, the mythology, and the personalities that make the Great Land great. My first book, The Fishing Widow, a supernatural horror set in Southeast Alaska, is due out on January 6th. There's a FB event: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#... that everyone can join (giveaways like the Gift of the Magi, but Alaskan-style, free downloads, and more), and, for a new twist, at 1pm Alaska Time (that's 5pm Eastern), there will be a Google+ hangout with even more prizes and fun (if you're in Craig, Alaska, there'll be cake and coffee at Waterstreet Cafe). The Google+ link is here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/108706053... Nice to meet you all! If you're around Sunday and curious, stop by! Oh, and my blog is www.akmarshall.com and I'm a reviewer for Dark River Press and Seriously Reviewed.
Happy New Year! Hello, Robert, and everyone, and thank you for the opportunity to promote our works. My name is Laura Haley-McNeil. I also have a family friendly blog and would be delighted if anyone wants to contribute a guest post or submit to an interview. Right now I don't have time to post reviews but hopefully that will change in the near future. http://bookblogs.ning.com/profile/Lau...
Thank you for the invitation to join this group! I'm Ann (Ana) Morris, a bilingual children's author. I publish each story in English and Spanish, separately. I taught Spanish for years and am completely fluent in written and spoken variations of the language. My first pair of books were "Mommy and Mikel Go for a Walk"/"Mikel y mami dan un paseo", and my second pair is close to completion in publication, so be looking for "Surprise in Auntie's Garden!"/"¡Sorpresa en el jardín de la tía!" My stories have a positive adult role model, curious youth, and and educational component presented at children's level 5-9 ish, but senior citizens like them as well! The first pair is available and has 5-star ratings on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-a-Million, Google Books, Goodreads and AuthorHouse.com. My goals are education, child/adult bonding, cultural awareness, language awareness and opportunities for Spanish and English readers and learners to have material to read and enjoy. My stories originate from true experiences. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/mommy... is one English site and http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/mikel... is one Spanish site. My FaceBook author page is: http://www.facebook.com/AnnMorrisChil... (Consulting is spelled correctly on the actual page!) Visit me and enjoy!

Hi, my name is Allan and I'm glad to be part of this. My debut novel "THE BRIDGE" will be coming out shortly. I write a strange blend of paranormal-mystery with a touch of Sci-Fi. These are usually set in modern day or in 1700-1800's. My first novel will introduce the concept of parallel earths, but they will be unlike anything you've ever seen before (I hope). The entire series will be called "The Para-Earth Series". I have a FB page, a Youtube channel for Vlogging, and 2 blogs. One is all about writing, and the second is about my novels in progress (including snippets, photos, and insights).

Aloha everyone, I have to admit I'm always a little stymied by the "why do you write question" simply because I can't remember a time when I didn't write. I've written everything from population profile studies, to travel industry PR and marketing materials, to a Hawaiian cookbook for a local nonprofit. I launched my award winning blog - IGG Tips, Tools and Tantalizing Ideas a little over 2 years ago, and I've written 4 books on the art of living life by design. My latest book is on the business of being an author. Nice to meet everyone!
