Agree with your summary. Early on I thought the number of "OKs" would drive me to put it down but quite the opposite. I would definitely read more by this writer. A Booker shortlist which I'm working through. Best so far for me but also currently really enjoying The Land in Winter.
Yes the okays were becoming increasingly irritating until you realise that’s kind of the point. I recommend All That Man Is though. One of my favourite ever books.
