I’m currently reading Babel. I’m confused about whether I like or don’t like Kuang’s writing. I like the different premise of her books, the ambition and scope of her stories but she tends to dump too much information on the reader and her understanding and creation of characters is not at all compelling. Her books seem stupendous to begin with and shallow by the end.
Liked your review, and found it inspiring. Although your feedback is all positive what held you back from a higher rating?
