L.J. Kendall I just now edited the Bio section of my author profile and it looks like I COULD just edit my name there to include the space between "L." and "J." in my author name...

Is that safe to do? I'm very happy to do that if you recommend it. I'd be very happy if that change applied to all my books here on GR, since that's how my name appears with Thorpe Bowker, and on every edition for all my books.

The "L.J." (no spaces) recently caused a problem with my upcoming book, when the Amazon edition automatically came across.

My author name has always been "L. J. Kendall" except on GR, because I THINK back when I added myself GR wouldn't let me enter "L. J." with a space, in the "first name" field.

No, that's against policy. For non kindle books you can try to beat the bot & enter your books as soon as you get the ISBN though.

L.J. Kendall I can easily do that: I have all my ISBNs long before I upload a Kindle edition.

It will mean however that this problem will crop up for each new book I publish, since my GR author name doesn't have a space and my actual author name does.

I guess that's just one of those things.

L.J. Kendall You're not allowed to do that on Amazon. You would have to unpublish all the books and republish them and lose all ratings and reviews.

Nor can you do that for an existing ISBN.
It's correct on Amazon, it's incorrect here on GR.
