I love Malamud, though have not read him for years.
Hi David. Yes I saw it was a favorite of yours. For me, it was a hit-and-miss collection of short stories.
I plan to read his novel The Fixer next.
I'm the same as David. I read most of his books when I was in my late teens and haven't picked him up since. My memory of The Fixer was of bleakness.
