I nominate The Onion EatersIt is the story of an American who inherits an Irish castle, and the bizarre events that occur when he takes possession.
I nominate :Silent Water
by P.K. Adams It's a murder mystery set in 16th century Reign of Poland at Christmas time
I would like to nominate Weyward by Emila Hart. Weyward is a historical novel novel that interweaves the stories of three extraordinary women across five centuries, all connected by blood, a mysterious power rooted in nature, and their resilience in the face of patriarchal oppression.

This sounds awesome! Thank you for suggesting it.
I second it.
Barb and I recently started reading
Sackett's Land by Louis L'Amour, but because we read slowly, I expect we'll still be reading it well into December. So, since this is the last day for nominations and they're still a bit skimpy, I'll nominate this book. (L'Amour is popularly associated with his Westerns --and did write a great many of those-- but this particular book is historical fiction, beginning in England in 1599.)
The poll is now up and ready for voting, here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/3... . Nominations are now closed, so I'll close this thread to further comments.

1. Onion Eaters by J.P. Donleavy
2. Silent Water by P.K. Adams --seconded.
3. Weyward by Emilia Hart
4. Sackett's Land by Louis L'Amour
