Hi there, would you be interested in reading my book?It’s called The Guard (~95k words, first-person, single POV), the first book in a five-part series. The book is ready for publication, and four of the five installments are already written, with the fifth currently in draft form.
While the story includes some familiar tropes (Enemies to Lovers, Morally Gray Love Interests, Slow Burn Romance, Paranormal Suspense, Found Family), it’s far from formulaic. It’s part romance, part urban fantasy, part paranormal, part mystery—and as the series unfolds, even part sci-fi.
This is a true slow burn—and I mean slow. There’s no spice in the first book. You’ll find longing, attraction, plenty of tension, and some kissing, but no explicit sexual content.
However, there is explicit violence and some gore.
Yes, it ends with a cliffhanger, but nearly all the questions about the mystery in The Guard are answered by the end.
Release date is June, the 30th.
This is my debut, and the book isn’t up for preorder yet. So there’s no Goodreads page or author profile at the moment—but I’m working on getting everything set up in time for the reviews to start coming in.
