Mark Porton This is a terrific write-up Julio. Updike was a master right? The Rabbit series is wonderful. Having said that, it looks like you enjoyed this a little more than I did. Perhaps I wasn't in the right mood. I love the Vidal quote you pulled. Nice one mate :))

Julio Pino You're welcome, Mark: I was going through an Updike phase in the late Seventies, buying his novels as they came out. I tuned out around the time of ROGER'S VISION, but read chapters from RABBIT IS RICH.

Adam Great review, Julio! The way the characters speak so frankly to one another about their escapades and emotions is wonderful. The car wreck scene, as well as a few others, stayed with me much longer than anticipated.

I'm very late tp the party Julio, and am still in my Updike phase - I gave Roger 5-stars BTW, loved it!!!
