Rebecca Clark Really? I’m not seeing that at all. I follow her on social media and she’s anti AI.

Reader As a fellow author you should be aware of how damaging it can be to another author’s career by accusing them of AI without any proof. Just vibes, seriously?

Writing too perfect= must be ai
Writing has flaws= must be ai.

Just fucking pick a lane already.

Bel Watson I’m sorry, but that’s how it felt for me. The extremely short scenes are exactly how any AI writes a given outline (try it). Plus, having a scene of five paragraphs felt lazy. If you experiment with any AI just once you’ll realize that’s exactly how any LLm writes and you have to fight it to stop doing that. That’s why I said it gave me AI vibes. Once again, my opinion, my experience with my own experiments. My rating is based on my lived experience and very specific on one point, not the whole writing so not generalize. Why do you care?

Devon Accusing authors of using Ai as an author yourself is quite a choice, if you’re so sure that something is Ai one can put together that you yourself also use it

Bel Watson I’m not accusing anyone of using AI and I’m not an author myself. Gods, stop jumping to the throat for a “feeling”. I just said it gave me a vibe, I didn’t claim or accuse anyone of anything. Please, stop jumping to your own conclusion and reading whatever you think out of a simple sentence of my own experience reading a book. That’s what it made me FEEL. It could’ve made me feel angry, sad, annoyed, irritated. I can’t believe I have to explain something so basic.

Devon Didn’t you say in another comment that you used Ai in terms of writing to be all “oh this is how it sounds like when someone writes with Ai” so isn’f that you saying that you’ve experimented with it?

message 7: by Bel (new)

Bel Watson Exactly, an experiment. One thing is writing for myself and testing LLM tools as someone who’s interested and who works in IT, and a very different one is being an author. Not everyone who writes is an author. It takes more than that. Once again, I’m explaining basic things.
