It also just seemed so dark yk and I just didn’t understand why we had to read it 🤣
It actually helps to read it in school because you can discuss it and figure out those deeper meanings! But on your own, yeah it’s tough!
I will lament this book’s honorary mention in your hopeful TBR videos 😭
i just appreciate that you put your honest ratings. so many booktok influencers rate everything 4 or 5 stars and it makes my eye twitch
I have the distinct memory of being so confused with the metaphors in this book in 9th grade English class
Currently listening on audio and also very confused lol
Whew - I thought I was the only one confused. Once ChatGPT got involved, I understand it so much better. But just reading it blind I was struggling!
