I am so happy that you were able to have a fulfilling year, Jaidee. Someday, I hope to emulate you and restrict my GR time. Unfortunately, I see no equivalent of the site when it comes to active and genuine bookish friends. My contacts list is already limited, but I too plan on pruning it further.

My dear Jaidee, thank you for sharing a little bit of this year's journey, in life and in books. That "-being and letting be" is a challenge for me too. I have been practicing for a number of years. While I do it with more ease, it's still such a test for me.
Of all the books on your outstanding list, In Winter I Get Up at Night by Jane Urquhart is the one I most want to read. Thank you for the nudge.

Well reading is a big part of my life and mostly so very fulfilling. I always love to see what you are reading Ms. Lorna as you read so widely and I get a little taste of books I will never get the chance to experience. Hugs and best wishes and more bookish banter !
