I think this novel really makes sense, and it is eerily similar to today's worldwide wars, riots, and weird happenings. What are your thoughts?

I think what makes it feel so close to our reality is not literal influence, but patterns.
Scripture often describes recurring human behaviors — fear, power, pride, violence, the need for control — rather than specific historical events.
When those patterns repeat on a global scale, it can feel prophetic.
For me, the most unsettling part isn’t geopolitics itself, but how easily people stop questioning their own moral choices when fear takes over.

Yes, definitely. I'm currently reading EcoSpirituality by Rachel Wheeler and she focuses heavily on Christian scripture, emphasizing the importance of inheriting the biblical qualities as spoken by the Saints in ancient passages.

Interesting timing for a discussion like this considering governments are openly discussing UAPs, non-human intelligence, and disclosure narratives now.

This is a thoughtful question. My view is that ancient scripture often speaks less about one-time events and more about recurring patterns of human nature.

Forces like fear, pride, greed, anger, and the desire for control may not always be “external” forces acting on the world. They can also be inner forces within human consciousness. When these energies remain unconscious, they begin to shape families, organizations, nations, and eventually geopolitics.

In Business Yoga, I have reflected on a similar idea: balance is essential, whether in an individual, a business, or society. When action is not guided by awareness, it can become aggression. When power is not balanced by compassion, it can become destructive.

So perhaps the real influence of ancient spiritual forces is not only in prophecy, but in the timeless reminder that the outer world reflects the inner state of human beings. Until we become conscious of these patterns within ourselves, they continue to repeat in the world around us.

I think you are absolutely right :). Human nature is what makes the world what it is, and as the former stayed the same for millenia, trying to understand it better (via referring to ancient wisdom, or via other sources) is infinitely helpful.

I would like to know your opinion, Anil- could forces like " greed", "anger", " pride" be understood/managed better, if one could reduce them to the very basic level, in terms of energy, for instance? Such as greed is a behaviour of an entity in a state of energy deficit, anger is a behaviour triggered by someone threatening your minimal energy needs etc? :o)

Yes, I believe these forces are still present. Throughout history, nearly every spiritual tradition recognized the need for spiritual protection, purification, and discernment because unseen influences were considered a real part of human experience. If those forces existed in the past, there is little reason to assume they have vanished in the modern age. Technology may change the world around us, but it does not necessarily change the deeper spiritual realities described in scripture. That is why spiritual protection remains relevant today. Rather than dismissing the subject, we should educate ourselves about it, understand the historical teachings, and learn how to navigate these influences wisely.

A thoughtful question. I would not see these forces only as external or supernatural influences, but also as patterns of human energy that keep repeating through history.

In Business Yoga, I have tried to look at business and society through the lens of consciousness. When fear, ego, greed, or the need for control dominate our inner world, they eventually express themselves in outer systems — politics, markets, institutions, and even conflict.

Ancient scriptures often describe these forces symbolically because they are timeless. The names and places change, but the inner tendencies remain the same. Perhaps the real question is not only whether such forces influence geopolitics, but whether we are conscious enough to recognize them within ourselves before they shape the world outside.

To me, this is where ancient wisdom still feels deeply relevant today: it invites us to move from compulsive reaction to conscious action.

We are all human, fractured, not perfect human beings. I believe Satan and his demons are real and at work in our world. I believe they tempt us. Each person has areas where we tend to be weak. Satan and his co-harts know where we are weak and they use that area. It is up to us to try to stay strong.
I do believe Satan is at work in every part of our world from politics to the church itself. I believe Satan is working harder everyday to draw us away from our Lord and Savior. He is determined to take as many of us to hell as possible. He doesn't want Jesus Christ to win, what he has never accepted is the war was won on the cross and when Christ conquered death.

Yes Debra...Satan is always at his work. And we need to know and learn the ways of God.
