Congratulations on your enjoyable reading year! I'd never heard of Letterboxd until your commentary. I'll have to check it out!!
I always love coming across your reviews. There are a few in your list that I hope to try soon, but more importantly, I am inspired by the positive spin you put on reading less. Here's to savouring the moments as they come!
Yay to not forcing yourself to read! It will allow you to enjoy it more when you do feel more up to it. I do not have a Letterboxd but if you'd be so inclined, what were some top watches of the year? I have been disappointed by movies and decided to rewatch Ted Lasso to end off my year.
Wishing you all the best for 2026! I wish this app was better but I hope to see your updates when I do come on here.
Getting through all of Jane Austen is above and beyond. I'm just happy to have made it through Pride (above) and Prejudice (beyond)! Carry on with the good work and the fun reviews!

Far too kind, Lisa. Thanks for being such a positive presence!

Oh that's a good question! No TV, but I enjoyed the following films a lot:
- Hamnet
- Train Dreams
- Fanny and Alexander (despite what I just said, the TV version)
- Land of Silence and Darkness
- The Sting
- A Few Good Men
- Pather Panchali
- The Wind Rises
Anything on your own?

Likewise David, thanks so much!

Thanks Ken! Pride and Prejudice are two huge journeys, good on ya!
Jane Eyre, and Jane Austen completed - and looking at your delectable list, more stellar books (wonderful to see Skylark there), all in one year? Wish you a 2026 that is equally rewarding and enjoyable, Alan.
Sounds like your 2025 was a case of less is more. Hope the new year is full of more interesting books and reviews, which I always enjoy!
