Joseph So, was this not actually a "clean" story? I tried reading Dorothy Sayers awhile ago, and I was pretty taken aback by some mentions in the content.

Amanda Stevens I am so happy you've met Lord Peter! You can technically read the series in any order except the books that include Harriet Vane. Those I would definitely read in order (Strong Poison, Have His Carcase, Gaudy Night, Busman's Honeymoon).

Also yes, Sayers was indeed a Christian, but she didn't write "clean" as it's currently defined by evangelical readers.

Yes, I double-checked her wikipedia page after to see if I had totally made up that she was a christian, and I found I had not 😆
