Sapphic book reccomendations: The Safekeep, Tipping the Velvet, The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics, and One Last Stop are all amazing- I’ve read them all in the last month!!

Heavy on the audiobooks, but can make exceptions if the novel is a must-have! If I had to describe my favorite genre of sapphic novels, it would have to be either a mentally unstable, chaotic lesbian OR anything other than the heteronormative fem w/ fem stories.

i'm mabel, 28, lesbian! i've always been really into the outdoors (hiking / backpacking esp), but i also seem to have a new "nerdy" hyperfixation every year (my gf and i just got into magic: the gathering a few months ago, so that's my current obsession).

i just came back to goodreads after a hiatus (didn't feel like keeping track of my reading, but that led to me reading less, so i'm back -- having some structure helps me), so i'm also looking for some friends. i'd also love recs for sapphic novels -- most of my lesbian reading is in the form of yuri manga :p

i'm reading babel right now, then i'm going to read sawkill girls (first time reading a ya novel since i was a kid, thought it would be a fun palate cleanser bc i read a lot of really intense stuff last year). if i'm feeling ready to read a full series, i think i'll start the locked tomb after that -- i already have the first book.
