Great great review
Pleonasm! Quiddity! W.D. at his W.D.-iest!
Entertaining and fascinating (and challenging) review; intense quotations.

Cheers, Caterina...I hope all is well for you & yours in TX!
Terrific comments on not only this novel but Martin Amis in general. I mean to read more of this work, but what I have read seems to follow what you note of Amis's manner as a writer:
"just what it might mean for an Amis novel to be ‘at its Amis-iest’, except to say that it involves a certain destabilization of the reader’s world-view at the level of the sentence: strange, & estranging metaphors & images & other turns of phrase that get you"
