Meg I tried to read this in the summer but I quit 1/4 through the book because it was just too complicated. The back and forth of letters just exhausted me. The plot seemed interesting though.

Sophia Holanda agree 100%

Marie W. 3 stars but you put it in "all my eggs in one basket"

message 4: by Bradley (new)

Bradley 60% in really thinking about DNF it because of the poetic ramble that is every sentence. This books tries too hard to be something its not.

Alessandra Rossi Where is the world building in the first pages? The only thing I can think about is how there is exactly 0 world building

message 6: by Marin (new)

Marin World building is tough with a novella, but I think it’s possible because I’ve seen it with short stories even. I don’t think it was done very well. A lot of word vomit and trying to be different and “pick me.” It didn’t work for me

Emily Hill Thank you for explaining your take on "This is How..." It's our Everett WA book club book-to-read-May and after the 1st two pages, I'm left adrift; but I don't want to be left out of the 23 May discussion! Signed, my Popularity at Stake ;D
