Author request: Change primary edition to new cover > Likes and Comments

I've tried to do this but I can't make it work. Can anyone help? Thanks, Sarah

Only Goodreads Authors can set the default edition at this time.

Please note that changing the default edition will not change the edition shown on your Author Dashboard, which is visible only to you as a Goodreads Author.

Here's how to set the default edition for a work:

1) Navigate to the book's page. Be sure you have selected the edition you wish to become the default, or primary edition.
2) Click edit details below the book's description.
3) On the right side of the page, click Set this book as the primary edition for this work. It's about midway down the page.

I did that but I get an error message saying I can't make that book the primary edition. Any idea why?

I've read several things and they all say to go to the Librarians Group as they can fix it for me. Is that not right?

Sorry, but I have no idea why that might be - like I said, librarians are not able to set the default edition. Only authors can do it, so I can't really tell you what the issue might be.

Librarians can't fix everything - our abilities are also limited and sometimes the best we can do is give an advice and/or suggest contacting Support
