Even at a very young age, and many times to the nuisance of adults, I told stories. From verbal, to writing in the most rudimentary forms, I would spin tales. And that passion for creating words that would linger in the atmosphere of history followed me as a hobby into adult life, from the military, into a career and finally retirement. As life moved on, to my surprise I found that writing became more zestful and exciting with the great moments I had experienced, whether beautiful or dark.
The ghosts of my experiences, and people I've known, have been reimagined and molded into my fictional writing today, resting my passion on the sub genre of political and military thrillers. Here I can tell a story, while invented, but being described from my experiences around the world and things I have seen, or done.
A quick synopsis of book one:
U.S. Navy Veteran and Security Consultant Jacob Brantson is contacted by someone from his past, now serving in the upper echelons of government, seeking to hire him for an off the books job. Reluctant after hearing the details, he remembers that the Colonel and his team saved his life years ago in the Middle East, and eventually accepts, immediately plunging him into a behind the scenes war between the power elites.
Jacob goes on the run after the third attempt on his life, accompanied by Julia, an FBI Agent originally sent to investigate him. He forms his own Herrenlos (a masterless team), consisting of a former Navy SEAL from his past, an Army Intel Agent and two hackers. Together, the team goes on the offensive against those trying to kill them, only in the end finding out who the true culprits were; human traffickers and the corrupt politicians protecting them.
The Herrenlos strikes a blow to their organization, later discovering that they only slowed them down for a time being. Soon after, Jacob wants to reenter his old life, only discovering that things will never be the same after being informed that during his entire ordeal, he was being protected by the world's most wanted criminal, who knew his father.
