I'm getting emails from:

Nissie Lambert - nissie.havengroupmoderator AT gmail

offering to help promote my book, Lost Valley - Lost Innocence.

Is there any way I can confirm this is really Nissie?

I assume anyone contacting you out of the blue with a Gmail address, instead of a professional email, isn't legitimate.
