New series request: The Old Hunger by Aurora Cold > Likes and Comments

Hello librarians,

I’m the author (Goodreads Author profile: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...). Could you please create the series “The Old Hunger” and add these two books?

#1 Where Steel Failed — https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
#2 What Wrath Requires — https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

At the moment the series name only appears inside the titles, as “Where Steel Failed (The Old Hunger Book 1)” and “What Wrath Requires (The Old Hunger Book 2)”. Once the series exists, could the titles be cleaned to “Where Steel Failed” and “What Wrath Requires”?

Hello again, librarians! A short follow-up with the details the pinned post asks for.

Why this is a series: Book Two continues the story Book One begins, with the same characters and world, and Amazon already groups them as The Old Hunger: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HKDH3PK4

Series: The Old Hunger
#1 Where Steel Failed (November 1, 2026) — https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
#2 What Wrath Requires (December 1, 2026) — https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Series description, if helpful:

The hunger grows with every taste of it.

The Old Hunger follows a soldier’s relentless search for vengeance, the clandestine order that teaches him to command an unseen power, and the terrible price of wielding it.

In Where Steel Failed, Seraph survives a massacre that leaves his armor and training meaningless. Beyond the Sanctuary lies a world of rival kingdoms, ancient relics, and loyalties he has yet to understand. Beside him are people who make that world worth discovering—and worth defending.

His pursuit of a single killer draws him into a war far larger than his own grief. Strength can carry him through a battle. It cannot decide whom he should trust, what he owes the living, or how much of himself he is willing to sacrifice for the dead.

A saga of hard-won trust, dangerous power, and wonder in the shadow of war.

The series begins with Where Steel Failed and continues with What Wrath Requires.

Once the series exists, could the series name be removed from the titles, so they read simply “Where Steel Failed” and “What Wrath Requires”?

Thank you so much!
