I can understand your predicament, however, unfortunately, Lowestoft does have an amusement park. It's called Pleasurewood Hills and it is just to the north of the town centre. The only thing about it is that it doesn't have beach access.
You would have been better heading north of Wroxham to Cromer. There is not an amusement park (with rides) at all, only arcade amusements. Additionally, Cromer is in North Norfolk which would have made more sense. Or you could have selected Hemsby. Again, no amusement park, just arcade amusements and it is the site of the former Pontins Holiday Park. The added plus is that Hemsby is truly a 10 (ish) minute drive from Horsey Mere.
