My first book, The Reluctant CEO, was based on Once and Future, which was my favorite book as a kid. I retold the story from the POV of a young business guy who learns he is the illegitimate son of a billionaire who dies and leaves his empire to said son. While I wouldn't dispute your take on the book, I saw something else. The journey of the young nobody to leader of the nation and creator of the roundtable contains many lessons in leadership that are resonant today. I chose to admit the moral failings of the characters to reflect modern sensibilities. Rather I focused on the failings of the main character, the mistakes he made and how he overcame them. The subtitle of my book is "Succeeding Without Losing Your Sou."
