I'd love to be a proof reader - where do I sign up?
RE: Donald Trump... Only your story could make me interested in 2024! God save us all...
I look forward to it!
Thank you, Hollow Well, and great to hear from you again! You know how to reach me if you'd like an advance copy.
Badger, I'd be happy to proof read future books. I've read all of your work so far and reviewed quite a few on Amazon. In your books, those delivering punishment are often flat grey characters that don't look the subjects in the eye. I thought it would be interesting to write about a slightly more normal world where the lives and loves of punishment officers are the central theme. I've incorporated the idea into the second book of a series of I'm writing for Kindle, the Sex Life of Harriet.
You are correct, Andrew, with maybe a few exceptions. There was Sam/Samantha, for example, who I'd like to think emerged as a slightly more complex character in the Female, Recreational series, and who once worked in punishment, although we never saw her do that job. Central characters who meted out corporal also appeared in the Discipline Contract. Nowhere though have we gone home with a discipline worker, heard their thoughts etc. Such workers are perhaps getting a little more prominent treatment in one/both current books, but we'll see. I wish you the best on your project, would hope to read it.
I'll reach out privately with my email address.
Thank you. Yes, I did remember Sam, she was always threatening but never did the deed. I enjoyed her interplay with Hannah. I would have enjoyed reading more about her pre-Hannah roles. In the production contract and Gospel of John, we get some feel for the staff doing the disciplining, they are more multi-faceted, but the situations are different from Hall 6 etc. You are of course right about the discipline contract, where the scenario is more of a family situation. In my new book, the central characters get punished and then decide to set up a small business as licensed punishment officers. They get trained by the best and in turn take on trainees themselves. I look forward to hearing from you. I read way too much according to my wife but I enjoy variety.
