Liam Ostermann I have read the story and others in anthologies from the period and I am delighted to identify you because sometime I find a story I love and then can't trace any further works. I didn't know Peter Burton and it is only retrospectively I have come to appreciate so much of the fine work he did encouraging young writers - so many of whom have, after publishing careers in the 1980s, 90s early millennium are no longer being published (Sebastian Beaumont, David Patrick Beavers, if I spent a few minutes I could find a dozen authors). I look forward to rereading your older stories and discovering your new work. Thank you for responding so promptly.

Cliff Hey Liam, that's excellent news, it's great to hear you're supporting these authors, many of whom are - as you rightly say - no longer being published. Peter Burton worked hard to keep platforms open to so many writers. I first met him in 2006, when I was working at the LGB newspaper one80news in Brighton, and I was able to offer him the space to concentrate on various columns, such as on the gay slang "polari", profiles of lesser known gay writers, amongst others. It's tragic he's no longer with us, as he did such important work on supporting gay writers and recordng LGB history, much of which would be lost without him. Anyhow, once again, thanks for your questions dn I hope you're doing well. Cliff
