Hugh Giblin I had a book published by Black Rose Writing in May of this year. The reviews I received were very critical of the editing with almost one error on every page according to one reviewer.

Another earlier review indicated the same problem. I had the work edited by myself and
an experienced publisher but many errors remained.

Black Rose made no mention of the issue when I sent them the book. An early review indicated the problem and I made Black Rose aware of it. I reedited the book using software they recommended and resubmitted. Again no mention of any editing issue by the Black Rose. When I received the second review the reviewer again noted a serous problem with the editing.

While I accept my share of responsibility for the editing problem, Black Rose does not.
They claim they did a "thousand edits", a claim transparently false. If they had told me of an editing issue I would have corrected it.

I can prove my point by simply submitting it to anyone interested for a judgment on editing. I recently
hired a professional editor to get her opinion on the editing. She concurred with the reviewers on the criticism of the editing.

I would not advise any prospective writer to submit their manuscript to Black Rose Writing.
My experience indicates they don't give a damn about the writer’s book or the writer's reputation and the product the produce.
