Cathy's ashes in a locket, how wonderfully Vincent Price-like macabre! I would have never thought of that. Every time I think over possibilities for W.H. I get stuck on how an author would handle the multiple generations. Personally, I'd hate to lose Catherine and Hareton in favor of solely focusing on the "core four" like most movie adaptations. As dark as Jane Eyre is, I always found W.H. more gothic in an almost problematic way. But I like your thoughts on taking and modifying what you want. Thank you so much for answering my question, I found it interesting!
